Here is the star ingredient of the Korean pasta recipe: gochujang is rich, sweet and savory. I have a hack to DIY it if you can't get it.
1. You'll need to sauté the garlic and onion till fragrant BUT if in a rush skip it as gochujang has enough flavor!
2. Add the gochujang paste to the pan, followed by the cream or milk.
3. Add the pasta water and stir in the cooked pasta.
You can use extra gochujang for crispy salmon!
