Equipment

  • Mason Jar Substitute: Matcha Whisk and Small bowl OR airtight jar

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder About 2g, or to taste (different brands have slightly different flavors.) Don't use too much or you'll have a hard time "dissolving" the fine powder in the water.
  • 1 Cup Cold water

Instructions

  • Pour the water into the jar, followed by the matcha powder.
  • Shut the jar tightly- you don't want the matcha to spill all over you- then shake vigorously (at least 40 seconds) till no dark green clumps are visible.
  • Open and enjoy!

Notes

Variations
  • Matcha Soda: shake the matcha with 3-4 tablespoons of cold water, then top up with sparkling water
  • Cold Brew Matcha Latte: substitute with regular milk, oat milk etc
  • Vanilla Cold Matcha: add 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup. Click through for more details.
