Sharing food makes everyone happy! :)

In 2021, I resolved to get my blog monetised. I spent a ton of time learning about SEO and qualified for Mediavine by August 2022. My traffic went up to 200,000 then came Google's HCU- dawdled for a while, and finally resolved to master Pinterest in 2024, so in December 2024, I signed up for 2 of Levee Road Studio's/ Amy Le Blanc's Pinterest Courses- Scheduling Shortcuts and Rank Boost 2.0. After implementing her strategy for 6 months- the time it's said you need to get Pinterest results- here is my honest review of these courses and how they compare to the 5 other Pinterest courses I paid for. (See how serious I was?!)

If you're debating between Pinterest courses, such as Carly Campbell's and Amy Le Blanc's Pinterest course, click here for my review of the 7 best Pinterest courses I purchased.

The summary is that Carly and Amy are my 2 favourite Pinterest experts, but their approaches suit different people. Depending on how you process information, 1 or the other would suit you better.

I'll review both Amy's RankBoost 2.0 and Scheduling Shortcuts courses here. If you're not sure what the difference between the 2 are:

    • RankBoost 2.0 focuses only on HOW to find Pinterest keywords. It's 1 of the most inexpensive Pinterest courses out there. Even as someone who had pinned for a while and already invested in 3 courses prior to taking Amy's courses, I learnt a lot. However, if you only wanted to invest in 1 course, I definitely recommend Scheduling Shortcuts instead- the only downside is that it's more expensive.)
    • Scheduling Shortcuts: this course focuses more on the Pinterest process and how to organize your Pinterest workflow so that you can be more efficient and effective at pinning. Amy calls her method, the waterfall method and it focuses on how to publish more pins more quickly.

Note: if it's templates you're after, Amy also sells Pinterest templates here.

    Why I Decided to Invest

Investing in blogging courses, such as Cooking with Keywords (click here for the keyword research course review), helped me qualify for Mediavine, so I'm a big believer in them. (You can get lots of free information but a good course helps you get the information more quickly, so you're basically trading money for time. There are a lot of dud courses as well- I've bought several that I couldn't in good conscience recommend so you won't see them on this site.)

I'd already paid for 3 Pinterest courses before this. 2 didn't do much for my Pinterest results but the 3rd one, Carly's, did. And very quickly too.

I signed up in April or May but only started listening and applying in August 2025. My Pinterest basically started skyrocketing in September and October 2024. (Part of it was seasonal but note that this isn't my peak season of the year.)

The change in my Pinterest results after investing in Carly Campbell's Pinterest teachings.

However, the most clicks I got within 30 days didn't exceed 11,000. I was also struggling with keeping up with Carly's teachings because, well, she rambles a lot (this is said with all respect, and I'm actually quoting what she has said about herself!) I myself don't have a good attention span so + a rambling style, it was very difficult for me to keep up. (1 reason why I only started really listening to her in August despite buying in April or so!)

I was also struggling with how to be consistent and how best to analyse my results, which I wasn't able to "solve" with Carly's teaching.

For example, I think we have all heard a million times to hone in on what's working. But how do we know what's working versus what's not? If our Top pins are all chicken pins, for instance, it's easy to say that chicken recipes are working for us. However, what if 85% of our pins are all related to chicken? In that case, it's not that our chicken content performs best! (Correlation is not causation.)

Without a way to track what I'd been pinning, I found it really hard to isolate what worked. This is where Amy's course came in!

    Amy's Credentials

Although you don't hear about Amy Le Blanc in the blogging groups as much, several "big" bloggers I know had privately recommended her to me. (1 with several million impressions on Pinterest.)

In addition, she's a fully booked up Pinterest manager, who even trains other Pinterest managers! (I just interviewed with a Pinterest agency who told me that she doesn't do any of her own experimenting or testing, but just applies what she learns from Amy!)

I like learning from Pinterest managers because every niche performs SO differently on Pinterest, and managers have experiences in more than 1 niche. If the teacher hasn't had experience in your niche, I'm not confident they would be able to properly advise. For example, another lady who also has a Pinterest course said that she didn't see many AI pins in the food niche.... .... if you're a food blogger, I'm sure you have an opinion about that statement!

And so I decided to invest in the hopes of getting even more Pinterest clicks!

What You get From the Course

What I like best is how data driven and structured Amy is. Everything she shares is backed up by data- and she tells you exactly what the data she is referring to is. After all, the same data can be interpreted many different ways so being told HOW she structured her experiment helps me understand best how to apply that knowledge.

Note: She refers to the Pinterest Engineering blog, checking the source code, and Pinterest experiments she's done. (More on the Pinterest experiments in Scheduling Shortcuts below.)

I find that if someone tells me something works on Pinterest, without full information on how they derived that information, I sometimes apply the information ineffectively.

    Rank Boost 2.0

The Rank Boost 2.0 course has 16 modules focused on HOW TO FIND PINTEREST KEYWORDS:

    • 7 places to find keywords
    • how to optimise your profile, boards, and pins
    • how to optimise your website for Pinterest saves (with and without a 3rd-party tool such as Hubbub/ WP Tasty)
    • how to use PinInspector (optional and separate investment)

Whilst this is a good course, as mentioned earlier, if I could only invest in 1 of Amy's courses, it would definitely be Scheduling Shortcuts (review below.)

    Scheduling Shortcuts

Scheduling Shortcuts has 50 modules covering everything from:

    • how to get an account marked as spam back
    • changes in the Pinterest algorithm
    • applying her strategy using Tailwind OR manual pinning
    • writing for Pinterest
    • understanding your Pinterest analytics & analysing Top Pins
    • Group boards
    • when to pin for holidays
      • to determine this, she ran an experiment for over a year!!!!!
    • etc

To sum up, Scheduling Shortcuts is more expensive BUT I found it more effective. PLUS it has a (limited) money back guarantee (details below), so you can try it for yourself to see if her teaching style works for you.

I think the screenshot below perfectly encapsulates Amy's Pinterest approach: make a decision with information you have!

      Impact on my Pinterest

Not to be dramatic, but Amy's course helped me fall in love with Pinterest.

Previously, I had no patience with it as it felt like throwing spaghetti at a wall. (I think this is how a lot of people are are more used to Google SEO feel or felt about Pinterest.) I mean, some of the results for my own Pinterest searches were so absurd- such as showing me a house when I was looking for a skirt!

With what I learnt from Amy, at least now I know how to strategically throw the spaghetti! (There's still experimentation and testing.)

And very importantly, my clicks went up immediately! Amy is very honest about the fact that it would take 3-6 months to see results. However, I had results (not amazing ones, but still net positive) from Month 1.

My Pinterest analytics for May 2025.

I only listened to Rank Boost 2.0 course and Scheduling Shortcuts in Feb/ March and started pinning in April. Within 1 month, I had a 22% increase in my Pinterest outbound clicks.

By July 2025, my outbound clicks had almost doubled again (and were also 2.5x what they had been in July 2024!)

Moreover, as we all know, you need to be consistent on Pinterest. I really struggled with this before, but Amy's system has helped me not stress AND not miss a single day of pinning in the last 7 months! (This is despite being on the road for half that time!)

Before I took her course, I would pin for 1-2 months, then fall off the bandwagon when life got in the way. (Which could be another reason why my Pinterest never did that well.)

      What Else You Need

I emailed Amy with a few questions post Scheduling Shortcuts and she is VERY prompt and nice about replying.

Before I signed up for her Mastermind, I emailed her with a Pinterest question which she solved for me in 24 Hours! I had asked the same question in several other groups, all of whom said they had not seen the issue (so I didn't get an answer)- Amy was the one who "solved" it for me!

However, for optimal results, I feel you would need to sign up for her Pinterest Mastermind. She has a Metricool scheduling method which I found to be a HUGE time saver that is only taught in the Mastermind. (Mastermind students also get taught about new Pinterest changes before updates are made to Scheduling Shortcuts so you get more timely information.)

In addition, it really feels like standing on the shoulders of giants because so many members are so generous with their time and sharing their experience. (I've been part of another Pinterest Mastermind where the members didn't interact or share!)

      What I Would Change

Like all courses with lots of information, Scheduling Shortcuts can be a bit overwhelming.

As there are so many updates, listed as Update 1, Update 2 etc, I found it pretty time consuming to process the new information. I would have MUCH preferred it if the updates were delivered in 1 module. Amy explained that she prefers to spend her time experimenting so she can teach us new stuff, versus refilm-ing, which is totally valid. As such, I would definitely not let the many update videos stop me from investing in Amy's course.

Hi I'm Zhen also known as GGG! I couldn't boil water till I was 18! However, I love creating community and nurturing people, so when I lived abroad (in St. Andrews then London) for 11 years, I started hosting regular parties for friends, and that's how I started cooking and helping out in professional kitchens. (Couldn't cook before that!) I even organised a supper club for charity (which strangers came to!) Learning to cook late, I make sure my recipes go into enough detail for those new to Asian cuisine or who love a test kitchen approach to cooking!
