Watched K Pop Demon Hunters Korean on Netflix and crazy about Korean food now? Here are 6 delicious Korean Food Noodles & other Recipes enjoyed by Rumi, Zoey and Mira on the Netflix K drama (or musical cartoon)- perfect for a birthday party or family dinner.

Grabbing a bunch of Korean instant jjol myeon or cold noodles.

    Korean Ramyeon (Ramen)  (라면)

A packet of Instant ramen over a pan of water.
A pair of chopsticks lifting spicy noodles off a pan.

If you watch Korean drama, you'll know that instant ramen or ramyeon (라면) is a staple in South Korea.

To make ramyeon soup is easily- simply follow the instructions at the back of the ramen packet: boil water, add the noodles and soup seasoning, and enjoy when al dente!

Sometimes I crave a dry noodle though- click through for an 8-minute dry ramen recipe.

    8-min Gochujang Noodles (One Pan)
This Easy 8-min Gochujang Noodles is a terific Korean One Pan Recipe. Slightly spicy, savory, sweet and tangy, it's a flavorful dinner meal ready in under 10 minutes! (The recipe is for one person, but can be easily sized up. Just double or triple the quantities as needed.)
Click here for the K Pop Demon Hunters inspired recipe.
A pan of Korean gochujang noodles with spring onions and egg.

    Gimbap/ Kimbap (김밥)

Close-up of homemade folded kimbap, cut in half.

Another Korean food (bunsik) seen in K Pop Demon Hunters is gimbap/ kimbap (김밥)- it's similar to Japanese sushi but much more savory.

If you're new to Asian cuisine and find rolling the seaweed rolls stressful, here is a popular variation of the Korean street food that doesn't require any rolling.

    Folded Kimbap Sandwich (Attorney Woo)
Folded Kimbap Sandwich is a fun, easy and delicious Korean street snack that shot to fame with the K-drama, Extraordinary Attorney Woo. It's simple to make and super versatile for lunchboxes: read on for some of the many possible fillings!
Click here for the Korean rice sandwich recipe.
Folded kimbaps, stuffed with cheese, kimchi, tuna and egg, in a bowl.

    Naeng Myeong (냉면)

Grabbing a bunch of Korean instant jjol myeon or cold noodles.

Naeng Myeon (냉면), literally cold noodles, originated in North Korea but is popular in both the South and North. There are different styles such as bibim naeng myeon and mul naeng myeon. (Some come with soup and others are dry etc)

These days, you can easily make naeng myeon at home thanks to the instant packets- click here for my reviews of the best Korean cold noodle instant ramen brands.

If you want to try making it at home, check out this Naeng Myeon recipe.

Tip: When in South Korea, I like the Cold Noodles from Myeongdong Kyoja- but it is SUPER spicy!

Fish Cake Skewer Soup (Eomuk-Guk , 어묵국 or Odeng-guk, 오뎅국)

Korean fishcakes are thought to have originated in Busan. Korean fishcake soup is the perfect Korean side dish for cold weather!

    Seollongtang

Korean beef soup or Seollongtang in a silver bowl

It's hard to find a place that does good seollongtang these days, as the soup takes forever to make!

    Shrimp Crackers

This is a popular Asian snack food- it'll be too much of a hassle to make it at home and you can pick up a few packets from any Korean convenience store!

    Hotteok/ Korean Filled Pancake (호떡)

A close up of a hotteok oozing syrup
What's your favourite hotteok filling? I sometimes make mine with Gula Melaka, pandan and coconut- not very Korean! 😛

I'm not a fan of Asian desserts but Hotteok is definitely an exception! The fried pancake is filled with brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon- super delicious and an awesome fall dessert (though I eat it all year round.)

Outside of Korea, it can be hard to find in Korean restaurants but you can easily make you own with Hotteok Box Mixes (You can also DIY from scratch but it will require proofing the dough etc- the box mix is much simpler, click through to see how to use the box mix!)

Any questions about the Korean dishes seen in K Pop Demon Hunters on Netflix? Let me know in the comments! If this was helpful, maybe you'd like to sign up for my Asian food newsletter?

Greedygirlgourmet eating 2 sandwiches in Scotland

Hi I'm Zhen also known as GGG! I couldn't boil water till I was 18! However, I love creating community and nurturing people, so when I lived abroad (in St. Andrews then London) for 11 years, I started hosting regular parties for friends, and that's how I started cooking and helping out in professional kitchens. (Couldn't cook before that!) I even organised a supper club for charity (which strangers came to!) Learning to cook late, I make sure my recipes go into enough detail for those new to Asian cuisine or who love a test kitchen approach to cooking!
