Easy, tasty Asian Thanksgiving seafood recipes for a healthy and delicious Friendsgiving/ Thanksgiving feast with friends and family! Great for those looking for a no Turkey Thanksgiving meal!
If you're not a roast turkey fan, here are some no-turkey alternative Thanksgiving seafood recipes for you! (For more non-traditional Thanksgiving meals, click here. Having said that, seafood such as mussels, clams, bass and oysters were actually part of the first Thanksgiving menu!)
Don't forget to pair the dishes with these easy seafood sides.
Starters
Spicy Tuna Dip
Instead of the typical cream cheese dip or crab cakes, why not try this easy canned tuna spicy recipe? It's the perfect addition to the Friendsgiving dinner table of a seafood lover, as it's cheap, easy, and delicious!
This delicious seafood starter goes well with crackers, vegetable sticks, or mochi cheese bread. You can also turn it into a curry if you reduce the cooking time and don't simmer off all the sauce.
Pumpkin Seafood Soup
Chinese Pumpkin Soup is great for this time of year as pumpkins are in season. You can also add crabmeat, lobster tails, or fresh shrimp to make the Chinese soup even tastier!

Fish
Teriyaki Salmon
If you don't have a main dish for your Thanksgiving table, Teriyaki Salmon is a great Japanese dish to make.
Sweet and salty, I've never met anyone who doesn't like the taste. Plus, it goes really well with just white rice, brown rice, or even cauliflower rice, and some green onions. (FYI Salmon has lots of healthy fatty acids, and is 1 of the most popular seafood choices in America, so will be a crowd-pleaser.)
Note: Click here for side dishes that go with teriyaki, such as green beans.
Miso Sea Bass
Another main course ideas is this Nobu sea bass copycat recipe.
It is a great way to have a restaurant-quality dish at home. You can serve it with fish sauce roasted Brussels sprouts or baked sweet potatoes, and a glass of white wine!
Salmon with Slaw
This Salmon with Slaw is ever-so-fragrant: it's made with Asian herbs such as lemongrass, ginger, garlic, lime and soy sauce. (You can use lemon juice if you don't have lime.)
Miso Butter Salmon
Another easy recipe for your holiday feast is this Miso Butter salmon dish.
Gochujang Salmon
Another popular choice is this 15 minutes Korean salmon recipe. You can make it 2 way: pan fried for super crispy skin or broiled for nice charred flesh.
Vietnamese Snapper
If you prefer to serve whole fish for this special occasion, try this Vietnamese snapper. The lemongrass and other herbs make it so fragrant, you only need hoisin and soy for the sauce!
Casseroles
Salmon Bake
This DIY no-roll sushi can take center stage at Thanksgiving weekend: just serve some seaweed on the side, so that everyone can wrap their own fish and rice! Fun, easy, and delicious!
Tuna Bake
Very similar to the salmon no-roll sushi dish above is this tinned tuna casserole!
Shrimp
Hibachi Shrimp
Recreate your favorite Japanese restaurant meal at home, instead of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, with this Hibachi Shrimp recipe.
Curry
Curry is a great dish for the holiday season, because you can make it before the party: it actually tastes even better heating up so you can always make it the day before Thanksgiving day if you need!
Singapore Fish Curry
This Singaporean Assam Fish Curry is a really delicious and comforting dish, even when served with just white rice! It's great for a holiday meal such as Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
Thai Curry
I love using red bell pepper for this quick and easy Thai Curry by Serving Dumplings to give the golden brown, succulent shrimp curry some beautiful color!
