The best last minute Thanksgiving Appetisers for a party: obviously these appetizers have to be quick and easy to make to leave you with enough time for the roast turkey on the Big Day!
Dips
Cream cheese dips are the perfect last-minute Thanksgiving appetizers. They're easy and only take a few minutes to put together, but still taste delicious!
Cheese Dips
You can make a 3-ingredient olive dip, a garlic cheese dip, or even cheese balls! Serve with a veggie tray or baguette slices.
Spicy Canned Tuna Dip
Only requiring 4 ingredients (onion, sambal chili, coconut milk and canned tuna), this canned tuna dip is great with crackers.
Wings
Chicken wings aren't just for Tailgating season- they're a good idea for any holiday season!
Pok Pok Copycat Wings
If you're looking for something healthier for your Thanksgiving menu, try these baked but as crispy as fried wings.
Chinese Chicken Wings
Mochi Bread
Instead of cheese puffs, which can be a bit tricky to make from scratch, these chewy Parmesan Cheese mochi bread balls are an easy and perfect way to start your Thanksgiving dinner.
Salad
Edamame
Edamame is 1 of the easiest and quickest Asian appetizers you can serve at your holiday feast.
Simply boil a large pot of water, pour in the frozen edamame, and boil for a minute or 2. (Check the back of your packaging for the exact timing.) Carefully strain through a colander and serve!
Don't eat the skin- you're meant to pop the pods out (like peanuts.) The skin is super tough and fibrous and not very tasty.
Note: add salt to the pot of water, or sprinkle some garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder on the cooked beans if you want more flavor. You can also coat with some chili oil or sesame oil.
Tomato Salad
Another easy appetizer that goes with almost everything is a salad! If you enjoy fresh fruit, you'll love this tomato, mango, and cucumber salad.
Cucumber Salad
This delicious appetizer can be made in advance, and left to chill in the fridge whilst you work on your other Thanksgiving appetizer recipes.
Pancakes
Turmeric Pancakes
To be honest, these are more like Vietnamese crepes than pancakes. Either way, they're delicious and always a crowd pleaser. They taste best eaten right after being cooked!
Pajeon
Note: for sweet Korean pancakes, try my all-time-favourite Korean snack, hotteok!
You can fill these Korean pancakes with just plain scallions or add seafood, such as shrimp or crab, and kimchi. Maybe even a mix of all 3!
Green Onion Pancakes
If you're don't have enough scallions, you can use leeks or 1 of these green onion substitutes in this popular Taiwanese dish.
📋 Others
Spam Fries
These pair really well with Korean Gochujang Aioli Sauce or Singaporean Sambal Mayonnaise!
Samosas
Traditional samosa can take a while to make, as you need to make the filing and the dough, then deep fry. Using puff pastry for baked samosas is a quick, easy, and delicious hack! And don't forget to serve with the sauce! (Recipe found below too.)
